A group of 17 Belles visited The Crossroads Store in Horsley this week for a Gin & Cheese Tasting Event. The gin we sampled was a delicious one from Sherlock & Sons Distillery of Ripley followed by several wonderful cheeses carefully chosen by Jenni from Crossroads Store. We were given plenty of time to look around this delightful shop and also took advantage of the book swapping service held in the telephone box outside the shop. Bring along a book you have read and swop for another one; recycling at its best! Thanks to Jenni for hosting this event and we hope to be back in the future. 

13 members took part in a Wine and Food Tasting Tour at Denbies Vineyard on Friday, 11th January. We watched a short film about the history of the place, were shown around the production line by our very entertaining guide and finally got the opportunity to taste 3 delightful wines which were paired with tasty morsels of salmon, chicken, Norbury Blue cheese and a gorgeous champagne truffle to finish.

We held a raffle afterwards to win a bottle of Denbies’ sparkling wine which was deservedly won by our president Amanda Edge. We’re all looking forward to the next event!

The Silent Pool Gin Distillery in Shere was the venue for the Belles outing.

Looking forward to seeing the Inn Crowd on Wednesday 17th June at the Plough at Effingham

The next Inn Crowd gathering was arranged for this Wednesday evening but it now clashes with the WI film night at Leatherhead theatre, so we have decided to rearrange the pub night to the following week so that everyone gets the chance to do both. »View More

This month we are back at the Windsor Castle Pub on Thursday 16th April from 8pm. Looking forward to seeing all the ‘usuals’ and some more new faces!
