We meet every couple of months to discuss ways to protect what we love from climate change in our local environment, such as: 

• becoming a community ally of Bookham Plastic Free and Surfers against Sewerage;
• monthly litter pick walks around the Village; 
• encouraging more use of local bus services, especially the new electric bus; 
• reducing food waste by supporting the Community Fridge and
• holding workshops on how to start your own home composting corner;
• holding swishing parties to reduce fast fashion etc.

Moving forward, anything we buy for our WI meetings, fund raisers etc will now be plastic free. Although we will be using up any existing “plastic” supplies we already have in our possession to avoid waste.”
