The Out & About Group had a fascinating tour of Reigate Caves. The caves are actually man made sandstone mines which are located right under the centre of the town. They have been used to mine sand for glass production, as stores, air raid shelters and escape routes from the castle. Well worth a visit on one of their summer open days.
