Last night’s meeting was full of non stop talking! Unsurprisingly as we had local celebrity butcher Keith Weston visit us and relate his Tale of Woe. Despite what the title suggests we were all entertained to a hilarious account of Keith’s career as a butcher, which kept us enthralled for a good hour or more! This left little time for refreshments but what time we had was put to very good use with more non stop talking – it was lovely to hear the throng of voices and laughter, as our WI is now really starting to get to know each other.
Donations for Keith’s talk last night were taken in aid of CRY Cardiac Risk in the Young which aims to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of you young.
