Christmas has arrived!

Last night the Great Bookham Belles WI were treated to a fabulous evening of Christmas decoration making. Our tutors Mary Devlin and Kath MacDiarmid instructed nearly 60 Belles on how to make fantastic door wreaths or beautiful table decorations. With foil wrapped potatoes, oasis, foliage & ribbons, creations made, were absolutely amazing.
The mulled wine was flowing & mince pies were eaten and Christmas crooners played happily for all to sing along to. We also enjoyed a superb raffle to add to the fun and laughter had by all.

As part of our Christmas social evening we gave voluntary contributions towards the Royal Marsden Children’s Cancer charity and £512.00 was raised.

President, Amanda Edge said ‘What a fantastic evening and a great start to our Christmas celebrations, we have some incredibly talented women in the Belles and their creative sides really showed tonight, totally overwhelming especially as we also helped to raise a lot of money for a local charity too’.
