Our Environmental Group hosted a meeting this month shedding light this time round on food waste and how we can combate this community. In fact the refreshments on the night were all made from ingredients from our local food bank.
We were also fortunate to have Milda from @ecocentric.us as our guest speaker, whose passion for the environment and commitment to real recycling and re-use is truly inspiring. Her shop in Claygate is a treasure trove of environmentally friendly products, and we were thrilled that she brought a wide selection for us to peruse and purchase. Not only that, but Milda also went above and beyond by refilling our collected plastic bottles with cleaning products, reducing waste and promoting sustainability. ????️ A highlight of the evening was the fantastic free raffle featuring four delightful hampers filled with ecocentric goodies! ????
The event concluded with a wonderful swishing event, where tables were brimming with bags, jewelry, books, hats, and other accessories brought in by our members for everyone to take what they needed, fostering a culture of sharing and reuse. ????
