Kicking off our 2024 monthly speakers last night, was Helen Bullen, a local entrepreneur, author, and retired osteopath. After a stage 3 triple negative breast cancer diagnosis in 2021, Helen bravely chronicled her journey from detection and chemotherapy to mastectomy in her memoir “Agnes, Bea, Cancer and Me.”
Despite the sobering subject, Helen provided an uplifting firsthand account of her experience. Mirroring her book, her talk gave insight into her cancer journey, from the moment of detection through chemotherapy, mastectomy and to today, offering wisdom gained along the way. Drawing from her experience, Helen is able to provide comfort and tangible guidance to those facing cancer and their loved ones.
