Most of the group really liked it and although it was a slow read found it was well worth it for the ending. One of the members has bought Stratton’s War by the same author which precedes An Empty Death. 
At their June meeting they will be discussing Jude the Obscure, the last completed of Thomas Hardy’s novels.
