With February annual celebration of #Showthelove campaign our monthly meeting was orchestrated by our Environmental Committee. The evening took the form of Swishing, where members were invited to bring their unwanted, used but good conditioned clothing and accessories, to swap with their fellow members – thus recycling.
One of our environmental members, Leah, gave a presentation to help us understand the impact of our consumerism and the effect that it’s having on our planet, illustrating that we can make significant changes, like recycling clothes, in our everyday lives! It was extremely interesting and enlightening.
A massive THANK YOU to our Environmental Committee, who not only did a sterling job of sorting through the clothes and arranging them like an exclusive boutique, but who also made superb refreshments including vegan buns.
