It is always exciting when another new WI emerges and meeting the new Downview Dames was no exception.
We were invited to the very first coffee morning and craft sale held by the Dames at HMP Downview and what a delightful morning it was. The crafts for sale were just wonderful and over fabulous refreshments and gorgeous cakes we were able to chat with the women in the Dames about our experiences within the WI and offer support to our new colleagues.
The hospitality was warm and friendly and we left Downview with bags of treats, cushions, cards, knitted toys etc, in awe of the creativity and passion shown by the new Dames.
We will definitely be back – what a great coffee morning!
