Our main trip to see Far from the Madding Crowd will take place on Wednesday 24th June at Leatherhead Theatre at 7.30pm As some of our regular filmgoers can’t make this date, there will also be a chance to go on Thursday 25th June if there is enough interest. Both will cost £8. The film lasts for 2 hours and so we will be finished by 9.45pm.

Directed by Thomas Vinterberg, this films tells the story of the wonderfully strong and independent Bathsheba (played by Carey Mulligan) and her 3 suitors ( played by Frank Troy, William Boldwood and Matthias Schoenaerts). Also starring Michael Sheen, this popular classic explores the nature of relationships and love, together with our ability to overcome hardships with determination and resiliance.
