Playing against #Surrey & one #Kent @WomensInstitute #WalkingNeball Teams, our NetBelles were on top form yesterday at the Oasis Academy Coulsdon for the #LondonandSouthEastNetball Festival. They won all of their matches coming first overall! The team even showed off their shooting prowess coming first in the shooting competitions too!
Well done Netbelles ! ??@englandnetball
Congratulations to our #WalkingNetball team, Netbelles, who were winners today at the #Eastleigh The WI (National Federation of Women’s Institutes) Walking England Netball Festival.
The Netbelles – Great Bookham Belles WI’s Walking netball team celebrated their 1st birthday by competing in a Walking Netball Festival at their home ground Manor House School, Bookham on Sunday 6th May.
There were 6 teams from around Surrey, Blue Swans, Sutton Evergreens, Horley Hackers, Allsorts & the Waddon Wiggers; the event was organised by Netball England. It was a very hot day but great fun was had by all and supporters and netballers alike relaxed in the beautiful grounds and cheered on all the teams.
The day finished with presentations and refreshments with our own Terri winning a certificate for the best walker. The festival was won by the Waddon Wiggers and the Netbelles came a respectable 3rd, a fantastic result for their first time!
The Belles this Spring/Summer were delighted to be offered the opportunity to play Walking Netball under the fantastic and experienced coaching of England Netball approved coach and Dawnay Sports teacher Linda Scrase.
