We had 2 guest speakers to our July meeting! Firstly Jill Tuck visited us from Effingham WI, she was our representative for the WI AGM held in Brighton earlier in the year and gave us an account of what took place. Secondly Bertie Newton spoke to raise awareness of the charity he volunteers for, the Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance. He explained the amazing work the charity accomplishes and how it is carried out. The charity exists to relieve sick and injured people in South East England and surrounding areas by providing a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and Air Ambulance Service for the benefit of the community. Our July meeting was held on a perfect Summer’s evening so much so that we were able to partake of refreshments outside on the lawns!
